Frequently Asked Questions

  • We go rain or shine! Our program runs regardless of the weather, unless you are contacted directly by a program organizer during bouts of extreme weather.

We believe in experiencing nature in all its forms, from sunny days to rainy/snowy days.

  • Dress for the weather! This is crucial for your child’s comfort and safety. We recommend dressing in layers so they can adjust to changing temperatures.

Consider waterproof outer layers (jacket and pants) on rainy days, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes (like hiking boots or sneakers) that can get dirty. Sun hats, gloves, and warm hats may also be necessary depending on the season.

  • If you are running late or need to cancel, please contact Victoria Stockton as soon as possible.

(Contact information is provided upon enrollment)

  • We will usually meet at Powissett parking lot.

If there is a change in location, families will be notified by Victoria Stockton or Shirley Sutton prior to class.

  • If children are added or removed from the class prior to the semester start date, this will cause tuition fluctuation.

Once the semester starts, we do not expect payments to fluctuate and will communicate with families on a case by case basis.

  • This program is designed for children ages 5-12.

  • Restrooms will be available. We have compostable toilets at specific sites that we will use during our program.

Please note: participants must be able to use the bathroom independently.

  • Unfortunately, due to the grassroots nature of the program, once you’ve paid tuition it is non-refundable.

Please bear in mind other families count on enrollment numbers to budget for their child’s tuition.

We kindly ask that you remain committed to the program once enrolled.
